If you have a Pinterest business account then chances are the new Pinterest Showcase feature has shown up on your profile page.

This new feature means when someone visits your profile on Pinterest, you can show them a hand-picked selection of what you have to offer. As you can see it sits right at the top of your profile so it is the first thing people see. It is animated and rotates through up to five of the boards you choose to feature.
This gives you the ideal opportunity to introduce yourself and give a great snapshot of your business and products. If you happen to have ‘buyable' pins you can showcase those in the first ‘Shop' slot (if you are in the U.S. and have ‘buyable' pins these will show up automatically in your shop tab). You are also able to update your showcase as often as you like so you can highlight items that are on special, in season or popular.
What Should I Showcase?
If you are a blogger you will want to showcase your blog board so people can see immediately what you are all about. After that, you might want to choose boards that are related to the topics you blog about or even add in 1 or 2 of your favorite personal boards to show off a bit of your personality so you can connect with like-minded followers.
If you sell products, either as a small shop owner or perhaps a direct seller, you are going to want to feature boards that showcase your products! As a direct seller, you can create pins that link back to your replicated site or even to your other social media channels where people can contact you to purchase your products.
Again your other featured boards should somehow link with your main business focus, such as ways to use your products or showcase your own brand personality. You want to entice new visitors to your profile to stick around and follow your boards.

There has been a bit of controversy going around in the Pinterest community with all of the layout changes that have been occurring lately. Pinterest has made these changes so that the ‘look' of Pinterest is more consistent across all devices. Everything should now look consistent no matter where people choose to view your profile.
